Councils may provide other services as they wish (provided they are not contravening other legislation). These may include:

  • Playground construction and maintenance

  • Public toilets
  • Local halls, community centres and art facilities

  • Aged care
  • Public order and safety
  • Graffiti removal
  • Citizenship ceremonies.
